Our Personal Experience
We visited Monkeypod Kaanapali for happy hour, and it was the perfect way to kick off an evening in paradise. The restaurant was buzzing with energy, live music set the tone, and the open-air setting gave it that unmistakable Maui vibe.
Let’s talk drinks first—the Mai Tais were fantastic, easily some of the best we’ve had on the island. The honey-lilikoi foam on top adds the perfect tropical twist. We also ordered the cast-iron shrimp, which we both loved. Packed with flavor and served sizzling hot, it was the clear favorite at our table.
We also tried the Margherita pizza, and while the ingredients were fresh and the flavor was solid, it could’ve used a few more minutes in the oven for that perfect crispy finish.
The best part? The whole experience was just plain fun. The atmosphere, live music, and excellent service all contributed to a lively and memorable visit. We would absolutely go back.
