The next stop on the tour is the cheese tasting. It’s likely you’ve heard that Dutch cheese is among the finest in the world, and once you taste their Gouda, Edam, and other varieties, you won’t doubt it. The cheese tastings were my favorite part of the tour.

Finally, we arrived at the windmill area. It was fascinating to see the inside of the windmill and learn how flour is made from wheat. We even climbed to the very top of the windmill to get a breathtaking view overlooking Zaanse Schans and the Zaan River. Despite being a little vertigo, the climb was well worth it.
